Beechwood still batting like a bunch of girls

Beechwood's water-baby (AW) missed a game which had light drizzle throughout!

There are four disciplines in cricket; batting, bowling, fielding and catching. Addington had more in every department.

Capt. Woody, having expressed confidence in his bowling options but concerns in his batting line up, won the toss and yes, batted! Beechwood's total was mainly due to determined knocks from Sean and Richard with KHM, Rob and Brad getting out to shots they'd do well not to repeat, but probably will!

Steve would do well to follow Adrian 'anchors' Warner and not back up too far as he was run out backing up after slipping on his backside. Beechwood's bowling and fielding showed greater discipline and determination but Addington never looked like not winning comfortably, which they duly did.

During Addington's innings Brad discovered sawdust, Colin started calling for their batsmen and Richard 'Persil' Proctor won the dirtiest whites award with several Robben-like simulations! Stuart once again wasn't called upon to bowl, this time however he didn't threaten to retire; many of our opposition batters are now sighing with relief !

Post-match it was good to see Chris Makin, Stuart received 2 yellows and a straight red for dubious comments made in the bar of a sexual nature, and Brad was last seen accepting a lift home from KHM via a couple of watering holes; we hope to see Brad again!

Beechwood sorely missed Tony's batting, as well as Adrian 'water-baby-anchors' Warner's batting, fielding, catching and of course, humorous light-hearted match report!
