Sean Cowell's Dream XI
1. Tony Freeman
Tony sets his stall out to bat through the innings and usually does.Very correct and also safe pair of hands.(Especially with a knife and fork)
2. Dean Kelly
Like Tony very correct technique and doesn't give his wicket away lightly.Used to be a more than useful inswing bowler.
3. Tim Johnson
Pure class with every shot in the book and a few more. Brilliant fielder and wicket-taking bowler. Absolutely lethal with a Chicken Dansak.
4. Roger Triggs
Very fine batsmen who scored runs very quickly.
5. Pat Ogan
Stylish batsmen who really should have scored more runs than he did. Absolutely destructive in swing bowler. Always found him the hardest bowler to face in the nets.
6. Ian Boss
Hard hitting, hard drinking, quick bowling no wonder he got in!!!!!!!! I'm sure he's got Irish blood in him somewhere
7. Yours truly
Someone has to make a few cheeky comments. (Some would disagree with the word "cheeky"!! - Ed)
8. Adrian Warner
Adey has really blossomed into a fine batsmen. As a captain I just had to throw the ball to ade and watch him demolish opposition batsmen. Always bowled to his field.
9. Graham Rogers
Super bowler very useful bat and a top class field. Would like to see him in BCC colours more often.
10. Chris Makin
Chris will always be missed by us bowlers behind the stumps .Beechwood's finest and a great mate. Miss the conversations behind the wicket.
11. Glenn Salmon
Glenn always makes useful runs and along with TJ was always are best out-fielder. My best mate so he had to get in (Money to the usual address).
12th man:
Ian McCrea
Only just behind Chris in the wicket keeping department. Just as safe with the gloves as he is with a roaster!!!!!
Apologies to all others but it has always been a pleasure playing with the Beechwood lads and has given me many happy memories over the years.

Do you agree/disagree with Bleary's selection and batting order?
E-mail me your Dream XI at steve@beechwoodcc.com with your views on why each player merits his place, and their place in the batting order.
All players must be past or present members, or have played a substantial number of games for Beechwood to qualify.
