Beechwood v Shooters Hill

Limpsfield, Surrey

11 July 2004

Opening the batting for Beechwood, the Rt Hon Keith Makin ensures the sightscreen is positioned correctly.

With sightscreen in place, Keith attempts an aggresive shot against Old Beechwoodian Lee Bates.

A familiar walk after playing such a shot - Makin, bowled Bates, not troubling the scorers.

Eric Makin looks on in disbelief.

Bates has less fortune in trying to remove Richard Proctor, who went on to make a great 72.

Another fine shot from Proctor.

Warner supporting Proctor well with a good 58.

Beechwood's Barmy Army has attracted some new members over the season.

Chris Makin attempts a run-out not realising that umpire Cllr Matthew French (Con) is hiding the ball.

Ian McCrea filling Ron Kelly's sandals more than adequately.

Sean Cowell remains upbeat despite the fact he has a Cooksley growing out of his shoulder.
